Stellar Story

Jeremy and I met in a college band.  We were all-in on playing music, we recorded in Nashville and the whole shebang.  Young and wide-eyed, we eventually became disenchanted with the music industry and settled down to get “real jobs” – which quickly led us from apartment living, into buying our first home. We fixed it up as we lived there, made improvements to add value, then sold it after two years and made a good profit.  

We fell in love with the entire process – the renovations, taking something old and worn then restoring it, creating beautiful spaces, providing homes for people – We spent the next decade investing in real estate through the housing bubble and crash of the early-2000’s, learning the in’s & out’s of the market.  A few children (and many properties later) we quit uprooting our family every couple of years and built our dream home.  Literally, we built much of it with our own hands.  And power tools.

Throughout our formative years, we were fortunate to have key mentors who poured into us, teaching us about life and also about real estate. We learned to lay tile, how to frame up a structure, how to set a good foundation – they taught us to invest well in the things that matter.

As our night & weekend real estate endeavors began to blur into our full time “real jobs”, we made a major career shift to focus on real estate full time.  We saved up a year’s worth of an emergency fund then took a leap of faith.  It turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. 

At Stellar Real Estate Co. we’ve cultivated a thriving team culture and chemistry, where our Agents make it their mission to help others invest in what matters most, in both real estate and in life – just as our mentors did for us many years ago. From serving on hospital boards and in our churches, to fostering kids and actively participating in the Chamber Of Commerce, to donating portions from every sale to local charities and ministries, our Agents are truly Stellar.  

What started out as two young kids working to pay off their mortgage, has turned into a consistently top-producing brokerage; and more importantly, we are a brokerage who believes in looking out for the good of others, investing in potential, and working to leave things “brighter” than we found them. If we can inspire others to do the same, we know we’re growing in the right direction.
